P.S. 88Q is located in the heart of Ridgewood, Queens. Our School reflects the rich history of our neighborhood, and dynamically incorporates the community into our studies. Our building is a vibrant testimony to the history of our school, and the accomplishments of its proud alumni.

PS 88Q is dedicated to teaching a coherent curriculum in a supportive environment, to ensure that our students will achieve their highest potential, and go on to a lifelong quest for learning and achievement.

The "Why" we do what we do at PS 88Q is what makes us special.  Each and every member of the PS 88Q community views our students as individuals because we are all individuals.  We do this work because we know what it feels like to be a student, and why we do what we do is because we know what we needed when we were young.  Every role, from our School Safety Agents, our custodians, our cafeteria workers, our parent coordinator, our secretaries, our paraprofessionals, our counselors, our support staff, our teachers and our administrators teach from our hearts.  Our students are valued because we value each other and ourselves.
